Functional Aspects:

Cytokeratin 1 is found in complex squamous epithelium such as foot sole epidermis, ectocervix, and anal canal epithelium. It is not present in normal or abnormal epithelia of hepatocellular origin or ductal origin like breast or pancreas. Clone 34ßB4 was raised against extract from human stratum corneum from the sole of the foot.
