IMMUNOGEN: Synthetic peptide corresponding to residues surrounding amino acids 282 of human ZIP kinase.
FORMULATION:
100 ug (0.5 mg/ml) antigen affinity-purified rabbit polyclonal antibody in phosphate buffered saline (PBS), pH 7.2, containing 50% glycerol, 1% BSA, 0.02% sodium azide.

BACKGROUND DESCRIPTION:
Zip Kinase is a 52 kDa serine/threonine kinase that mediates apoptosis. It contains a catalytic domain and a C-terminal leucine zipper motif. The leucine zipper is important for interaction with ATF-4, a member of the ATP/CREB family. Zip kinase has high sequence homology with DAP kinase (death-associated protein kinase), which is a mediator of apoptosis induced by ï§-interferon. Overexpression of Zip kinase induces apoptosis.
SPECIFICITY:
The immunoaffinity-purified antibody detects 52 kDa bands, corresponding to the apparent molecular mass of Zip kinase on SDS-PAGE immunoblots.
APPLICATION AND USAGE:
The antibody can be used for Western blot analysis. We recommend using 1-4 ug/ml for Western blot analysis. However, the optimal conditions should be determined individually.
