| In vitro | Z-LEHD-FMK (20 μM), as a Caspase-9 inhibitor, protects cancer cells (HCT116 and SW480 cells) and normal human liver cells from TRAIL-induced apoptosis. [1] Z-LEHD-FMK significantly abrogates flavopiridol-induced apoptosis in B-cell chronic lymphocytic leukaemia cells. [2] Z-LEHD-FMK (40 μM) significantly attenuates Aβ-induced neuron death by inhibition of caspase-9. [5] | |||||
| In vivo | Z-LEHD-FMK attenuates ischemic injury and improve neurological outcome in a rat model of focal cerebral ischemia. [3] Z-LEHD-FMK (100 μM) prevents CDDP-induced hearing loss and loss of sensory cells in pigmented guinea pigs. [4] | |||||
