IMMUNOGEN: Recombinant human YAP

FORMULATION: 100 ug (0.5 mg/ml) antigen affinity purified rabbit polyclonal antibody in phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) containing 50% glycerol, 1% BSA, and 0.02% thimerosal.

SPECIES REACTIVITY: human, mouse, rat

STORAGE CONDITIONS: Store at -20oC. For long term storage, aliquot and freeze at -70oC. Avoid repeated freeze/defrost cycles.

BACKGROUND: Yes-associated protein (YAP) was identified based on its ability to associate with the SH3 domain of Yes. It also binds to other SH3 domain containing proteins such as Nck, Crk, Src, and Abl. YAP is a transcriptional coactivator. It interacts with 13-3-3 and suppresses apoptosis.

APPLICATION: The antibody can be used in Western blotting (1-4 ug/ml) and immunohistochemistry (20-40 ug/ml for both frozen and paraffin sections). The optimal concentrations should be determined individually.

SPECIFICITY: The antibody recognizes YAP in samples from human, mouse and rat origins. NIH3T3 cells can be used as a positive control and a ~70 kDa band should be detected. For Research Use Only. Not to be used in human.
