FORMULATION: 100 ug (0.2 mg/ml) goat polyclonal antibody in phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) containing 50% glycerol, 1% BSA, and 0.02% sodium azide.

STORAGE CONDITIONS: Store at -20oC. For long term storage, aliquot and freeze at -70oC. Avoid repeated freeze/defrost cycles.

BACKGROUND: TROY (also designated TAJ), a member of the TNFR superfamily, exists as several isoforms that vary in functions. Full length TROY contains a cytoplasmic tail, which recruits tumor necrosis factor receptor-associated factor (TRAF) 2. The interaction between TROY and TRAF2 promotes cell survival through the NF?B signaling pathway. One truncated version of TROY, designated TNFRSF19, contains a shortened cytoplasmic tail, which prevents TNFRSF19 from activating the NF?B signal transduction pathway.

SPECIFICITY: The antibody recognizes TROY of human, mouse, and rat origins. Reactivity to other species has not been tested.

APPLICATION: The antibody can be used in Western blotting (1-4 ug/ml), immunoprecipitation (10-20 ug/ml), and immunohistochemistry (10-20 ug/ml). However, the optimal concentrations should be determined individually. USAGE:
