Description
Tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinases 2 (TIMP-2) binds to metalloproteinases such as collagenases and irreversibly inactivates the proteases. TIMP-2 is known to bind to MMP-1, -2, -3, -7, -8, -9, -10, -13, -14, -15, -16 and -19.
