IMMUNOGEN: Mature porcine TGF-?1 (amino acids 280-391)

FORMULATION: 100 ug (0.2 mg/ml) affinity purified, rabbit anti-Mature TGF-?1 polyclonal antibody in phosphate buffered saline (PBS), pH 7.2, containing 50% glycerol, 1% BSA, 0.02% sodium azide.

SPECIES REACTIVITY: mouse, rat, porcine

STORAGE CONDITIONS: Store at -20oC. For long term storage, aliquot and freeze at -70oC. Avoid repeated freeze/defrost cycles.

BACKGROUND: TGF?? (transforming growth factor-beta) is a family of multifunctional proteins. TGF-? was originally identified for its ability to induce the growth of normal rodent fibroblast in soft agar. It is now known that TGF-? is a potent growth inhibitor of many normal and transformed cell lines. It regulates normal cell growth, development and tissue remodeling following injury. TGF-? is produced as latent high molecular weight complexes. The activation of latent TGF-? is an important step in the regulation of its action.

APPLICATION AND USAGE: The antibody can be used for Western blot analysis (1 ug/ml) and immunohistochemistry (10-20 ug/ml). However, the optimal conditions should be determined individually.
