FORMULATION: 100 ug (0.5 mg/ml) purified rabbit polyclonal antibody in phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) containing 50% glycerol, 1% BSA, and 0.02% sodium azide.
SPECIES REACTIVITY: human, mouse
STORAGE CONDITIONS: Store at -20oC. For long term storage, aliquot and freeze at -70oC. Avoid repeated freeze/defrost cycles.
BACKGROUND: Syk is a tyrosine kinase that plays an important role in intracellular signal transduction pathways, and mediate diverse cellular responses such as cell proliferation, differentiation and phagocytosis. Evidence for the involvement of the Syk family proteins in T cell activation was suggested by the finding that Syk/ZAP p72 kinase fused to the transmembrane and extracellular domains of CD7 and DC16, respectively, can induce complete T cell activation.
SPECIFICITY: The antibody recognizes ~70 kDa Syk of human and mouse origins. Reactivity to other species has not been tested.
APPLICATION: The antibody can be used in Western blotting (1-2 ug/ml). However, the optimal concentrations should be determined individually. USAGE:
