Description
| Antibody Catalog ID: | LS-B2828 |
|---|---|
| Antibody Validation: | This antibody replaces catalog number LS-C56889. It has been validated for use in the following assays: IHC-P. |
| Antibody Target: | Six Transmembrane Epithelial Antigen Of The Prostate (STEAP) (STEAP1) |
| Synonyms: | STEAP1, MGC19484, PRSS24, six transmembrane epithelial antigen of the prostate, steap |
| Host: | STEAP1 antibody was produced in Rabbit |
| Antigen Species: | STEAP1 antibody was raised against Human |
| Clonality: | Polyclonal |
| Antigen Type: | Synthetic peptide |
| Immunogen: | STEAP1 antibody was raised against an 18 amino acid peptide located near the c-terminal region of human STEAP1 |
| Antibody Specificity: | Recognizes STEAP1 (six transmembrane epithelial antigen of the prostate), a 39kD protein which is a member of a family of cell surface serpentine transmembrane antigens of the prostate. STEAP1 is predominantly expressed in human prostate and is up-regulated in several cancer lines including prostate, ovarian, cervical, breast, testicular, bladder, colon and Ewing sarcoma. It is significantly expressed at cell-cell junctions and has been shown to be a target of human CD8 T cells. This indicates that it could be used as a potential target for cancer immunotherapy. This antibody does not cross-react with other STEAP-proteins |
| Antigen Modification: | C-Terminus |
| Predicted Species Reactivity: | Mouse, Rat |
| Purification: | Affinity Chromatography |
| Presentation: | PBS, 0.02% sodium azide. |
| Recommended Storage: | Long term: -20°C; Short term: +4°C |
| Antibody Usage Summary: | Immunohistochemistry: LS-B2828 was validated for use in immunohistochemistry on a panel of 21 formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) human tissues after heat induced antigen retrieval in pH 6.0 citrate buffer. After incubation with the primary antibody, slides were incubated with biotinylated secondary antibody LS-D1, followed by alkaline phosphatase-streptavidin and chromogen. The stained slides were evaluated by a pathologist to confirm staining specificity. The optimal working concentration for LS-B2828 was determined to be 5 ug/ml. Western Blot: LS-B2828 detects a band of approximately 40kD in human spleen cell lysates. |
| Antibody Uses: | Immunohistochemistry - Paraffin (IHC-P) (5 µg/ml), Western blot (WB) (1 - 2 µg/ml) (Optimal dilution to be determined by the researcher) |
| Size: | 50 µg |
| Concentration: | 1 mg/ml |
