IMMUNOGEN: Synthetic peptide surrounding amino acid 648 of human Rad17. FORMULATION: 100 ?g (0.5 mg/ml) immunoaffinity purified rabbit polyclonal antibody in phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) containing 50% glycerol, 1% BSA, and 0.02% thimerosal.

SPECIES REACTIVITY: human, mouse, rat STORAGE CONDITIONS: Store at -20oC. For long term storage, aliquot and freeze at -70oC. Avoid repeated freeze/defrost cycles. BACKGROUND: Rad17 is an essential component of cell cycle checkpoints activated by DNA damage and disruption of DNA replication. DNA lesions such as single- and double-strand breaks, inter- and intra-strand cross-links, and base modifications hamper transcription and replication, resulting in cell cycle arrest, apoptosis, and mutagenesis. Phosphorylation of Rad17 at Ser635 and Ser645 is a critical early event during checkpoint signaling in DNA damaged cells.

SPECIFICITY: The antibody recognizes ~80 kDa Rad17 of human, mouse and rat origins. Reactivity to other species has not been tested.

APPLICATION: The antibody can be used in Western blotting (1-4 ?g/ml) and immunohistochemistry (20 ?g/ml). However, the optimal concentrations should be determined individually. USAGE:
