FORMULATION: 100 ug (0.5 mg/ml) rabbit polyclonal antibody in phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) containing 50% glycerol, 1% BSA, and 0.02% sodium azide.

STORAGE CONDITIONS: Store at -20oC. For long term storage, aliquot and freeze at -70oC. Avoid repeated freeze/defrost cycles.
BACKGROUND: Rad1 is an essential component of cell cycle checkpoints activated by DNA damage and by incomplete DNA replication. DNA lesions such as single- and double-strand breaks, inter- and intra-strand cross-links, and base modifications hamper transcription and replication, resulting in cell cycle arrest, apoptosis, and mutagenesis. These DNA lesions have been implicated in many genetically inherited diseases, in carcinogenesis, and in aging.
SPECIFICITY: The antibody recognizes ~66 kDa human Rad1. Reactivity to other species has not been tested.
APPLICATION: The antibody can be used in Western blotting (1-4 ug/ml). However, the optimal concentrations should be determined individually. USAGE:
