Application_Details :

Immunohistochemistry (IHC) and Western Blotting (WB). A concentration of 1.0 µg/mL is recommended for WB. Human XIAP-associated factor 1 (isoform 1) has a predicted length of 301 residues and MW of 35 kDa. A concentration of 0.5-1.0 µg/mL is recommended to detect the protein in formalin fixed and paraffin embedded tissues. Antigen retrieval is required. Biosensis recommends optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.

Description (Long Description) : 

XIAP-associated factor 1 (XAF1) binds to X-linked inhibitor of apoptosis (XIAP) and antagonizes the anticaspase activity of XIAP. XAF1 is expressed in all adult and fetal tissues but is frequently down-regulated in cancer cell lines. At least 7 isoforms of XAF1 are produced by alternative splicing.
