Application_Details :

Western Blot : (0.1-0.5 ug/mL) tested in human hepatocarcinoma cell line SMMC, rat liver tissue, and rat thymus tissue. Immunohistochemistry : formalin fixed, paraffin embedded sections (0.5-1.0 ug/mL): with HIER; tested in human lung cancer tissue, rat intestine tissue, mouse intestine tissue,. Flow Cytometry (1-3 ug/10e6 cells): tested in human cell line K562. Other applications not yet tested. Biosensis recommends optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.

Description (Long Description) : 

Involved in the activation cascade of caspases responsible for apoptosis execution. At the onset of apoptosis it proteolytically cleaves poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase (PARP) at a '216-Asp-|-Gly-217' bond. Cleaves and activates sterol regulatory element binding proteins (SREBPs) between the basic helix-loop-helix leucine zipper domain and the membrane attachment domain. Cleaves and activates caspase-6, -7 and -9. Involved in the cleavage of huntingtin. Triggers cell adhesion in sympathetic neurons through RET cleavage.

Immunogen (Antigen) :E.coli-derived human Caspase 3 recombinant protein (Position: T67-D175) was used as the immunogen. Human Caspase 3 shares 86% and 90% amino acid (aa) sequences identity with mouse and rat Caspase 3, respectively.
