These disorders are characterised by an accumulation of prion proteins in the brain, which have a disrupted secondary structure.

This reformatted mouse antibody was made using the variable domain sequences of the original Mouse IgG2a format, for improved compatibility with existing reagents, assays and techniques. The antibody binds specifically to prion, a misfolded protein that has the ability to enter healthy organisms and cause other misfolding of other proteins into their prion form.
