IMMUNOGEN: Synthetic peptide from human PHAP III (near c-terminus)

FORMULATION: 100 ug (0.5 mg/ml) antigen affinity purified rabbit polyclonal antibody in phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) containing 50% glycerol, 1% BSA, and 0.02% sodium azide.

SPECIES REACTIVITY: human, mouse, rat

STORAGE CONDITIONS: Store at -20oC. For long term storage, aliquot and freeze at -70oC. Avoid repeated freeze/defrost cycles.

BACKGROUND: PHAPs (Putative HLA-DR-Associated Proteins) are tumor suppressors that were recently identified as important regulators of mitochondrial apoptosis. PHAP appears to facilitate apoptosome-medicated caspase-9 activation and to stimulate the mitochondrial apoptotic pathway. PHAP was also shown to oppose both Ras- and Myc-medicated cell transformation.

SPECIFICITY: The antibody recognizes ~35 kDa PHAP III of human, mouse, and rat origins. Reactivity to other species has not been tested.

APPLICATION: The antibody can be used in Western blotting (1 ug/ml). However, the optimal concentrations should be determined individually. USAGE:
