IMMUNOGEN: Synthetic peptide surrounding amino acid 180 of human PERP
FORMULATION: 100 ug (0.5 mg/ml) peptide affinity purified rabbit anti-PERP polyclonal antibody in phosphate buffered saline (PBS), pH 7.2, containing 30% glycerol, 0.5% BSA, 0.01% thimerosal.

STORAGE CONDITIONS: Store at -20oC. For long-term storage, aliquot and freeze at -70oC. Avoid repeated freeze/defrost cycles.
BACKGROUND: PERP, also termed PIGPC1 and THW, is a plasma membrane protein that is involved in p53 network. P53 binds to the promoter of PERP and transcriptionally activates PERP gene. The translated PERP protein mediates the p53-induced apoptosis.
APPLICATION AND USAGE: The antibody can be used for Western blotting (0.5-4 ug/ml) and immunofluorescence (10-20 ug/ml). However, the optimal dilution conditions should be determined individually.
SPECIFICITY: The antibody detects ~21 human PERP. A431 cell lysate can be used as a positive control
