IMMUNOGEN: E. coli expressed recombinant human NT-3
FORMULATION: 100 ug (0.5 mg/ml) antigen affinity purified rabbit anti-human NT-3 polyclonal antibody in phosphate buffered saline (PBS), pH 7.2, containing 50% glycerol, 1% BSA, 0.02% thimerosal.
STORAGE CONDITIONS: Store at -20oC. For long term storage, aliquot and freeze at -70oC. Avoid repeated freeze/defrost cycles.
BACKGROUND: NT-3 is a potent neurotrophic factor that supports the growth and survivability of nerve and/or glial cells. The active form of human NT-3 is a dimer, formed by two identical 119 amino acid subunits, which is held together by strong hydrophobic interactions.
APPLICATION AND USAGE: The antibody can be used for Western blot analysis (0.5-1 ug/ml). However, the optimal conditions should be determined individually.
