FORMULATION: 100 ug (0.5 mg/ml) antigen affinity purified rabbit anti-NAK/TBK1 polyclonal antibody in phosphate buffered saline (PBS), pH 7.2, containing 50% glycerol, 1% BSA, 0.02% thimerosal.

BACKGROUND: NAK (NF?B-activating kinase), also termed TBK1 (TANK-binding kinase 1), is a novel IKK related kinase. NAK/TBK1 is activated by growth factors and PMA and mediates IKK and NF?B activation in response to growth factors. NAK/TBK1 functions upstream of NIK and the IKK complex. NAK/TBK1 is also critical in protecting embryonic liver from apoptosis.
APPLICATION AND USAGE: The antibody can be used in Western blotting (1 ug/ml). An approximately 84 kDa band should be detected. MOL4 cell lysate can be used as a positive control. The antibody has no cross reactivity to IKKa, IKK߬ IKK?, IKKe. USAGE:
