RECONSTITUTION: Centrifuge the vial prior to opening. Reconstitute in 5 mM Tris, pH 7.6 to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/ml. This stock solution can then be diluted into other aqueous buffers and stored at 4oC for 1 week or -20oC for future use.

STORAGE CONDITIONS: The lyophilized protein should be stored desiccated below 0oC. Reconstituted gAcrp30 should be stored in working aliquots at -20oC.

Murine gAcrp30 is a 16.6 kDa protein originating from a proteolytic cleavage of Acrp30 (adipocyte complement-related protein of 30 kDa). Research shows that gAcrp30 is more active than the full length of Acrp30. gAcrp30 is expressed and secreted by adipose tissue. gAcrp30 possesses unique pharmacological properties for regulation of body weight and lipid metabolism. It is a key component in controlling energy homeostasis. BioVision's Recombinant Murine gAcrp30 is a 16.6 kDa protein consisting of 145 amino acid residues.

DESCRIPTION:

BIOLOGICAL ACTIVITY: Determined by its ability to inhibit the proliferation of murine myeloid cell lines M1. The ED50 for the effect is < 15 ug/ml.
