- 規格 Size
- 1 mg
Description
SOURCE: E. coli
PURITY: >98% by SDS-PAGE and HPLC analyses Endotoxin level is <0.1 ng per ug of FGF-1.
MOL. WEIGHT: 15.9 kDa
FORM: Lyophilized from 1 mg/ml solution of 5 mM NaP, pH 7.5 + 75 mM NaCl.
RECONSTITUTION: Centrifuge the vial prior to opening. Reconstitute in water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/ml. This solution can then be diluted into other aqueous buffers and stored at 4oC for 1 week or -20oC for future use. Repeated freeze/thaw cycles will result in some loss of activity.
STORAGE CONDITIONS: The lyophilized FGF-1 is best-stored desiccated below 0oC. Reconstituted FGF-1 should be stored at -20oC in working aliquots. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (e.g., 0.1% BSA).
FGF-1 is an acidic heparin binding growth factor that stimulates the proliferation of a wide variety of cells including mesenchymal, neuroectodermal and endothelial cells. Recombinant murine FGF-1 is a 15.9 kDa protein containing 141 amino acid residues.
DESCRIPTION:
BIOLOGICAL ACTIVITY: The ED50 as determined by the dose-dependent stimulation of thymidine uptake by 3T3 cells in the presence of heparin is 0.5 ng/ml, corresponding to a Specific Activity of >2 x 105 units/mg.
FOR RESEARCH USE ONLY! NOT TO BE USED IN HUMANS.
