pbBACKGROUND: /bMTBP is a recently discovered molecule that involves in p53 signaling. p53 transcriptionally activates MDM2 gene, and then the translated MDM2 protein binds p53 and promotes the degradation of p53. MDM2 blocks p53 mediated G1 arrest and apoptosis. MTBP was found to bind to MDM2 and to inhibit the modulating effect of MDM2 on p53./p
pbAPPLICATION AND USAGE: /bThe antibody can be used in Western blotting (1-2 ug/ml). An approximately 104 kDa band should be detected. K562 cell lysate can be used as a positive control./p
