Extracellular signal regulated kinase (ERK), also known as mitogen activated protein kinase (MAPK), is a family with two homologous members; ERK1 (MAPK3) and ERK2 (MAPK1). This antibody reacts with the active forms of these proteins that have specific phosphorylated Threonine and Tyrosine residues within a Thr-Glu-Tyr motif (Thr202/Tyr204 for ERK1 and Thr185/Tyr187 for ERK2).
