Cell division control protein 6 homolog (CDC6) is the human homolog of Saccharomyces cerevisiae CDC6. This protein functions as a regulator in the early steps of DNA replication and also has a role in checkpoint controls that ensure that DNA replication is completed before initiation of mitosis.
