FGF-2 is a basic heparin binding growth factor that stimulates the proliferation of a wide variety of cells including mesenchymal, neuroectodermal and endothelial cells. The recombinant mouse FGF-2 is a single, non-glycosylated chain containing 145 amino acids and having a molecular weight of 16.3 kDa.
DESCRIPTION:
BIOLOGICAL ACTIVITY: The ED50, calculated by the dose-dependant proliferation of BALB/3T3 cells is <0.5 ng/ml.
