Mouse Anti-Tetanus Toxoid IgG (TT IgG) ELISA Kit
Kits
Description
The Tetanus Toxoid (TT) is a version of the tetanus toxin (tetanospasmin, TeNT, or TTx) used in vaccination programmes. The toxoid is typically purified from Clostridium tetani cultures and treated with formaldehyde (methanal) to inactivate it. Once purified, it can be administered as a vaccine, either on its own (such as in a tetanus “booster shot”), or with other elements (typically diphtheria toxoid and pertussis extracts). Like many vaccines, administration of the tetanus toxoid can cause localised inflammation and potentially fevers. Serious adverse effects include neuropathy and allergic reactions, which occur in less than 0.001% of cases.
