Description
| Antibody Catalog ID: | LS-B2362 |
|---|---|
| Antibody Validation: | This antibody replaces catalog number LS-C8665. It has been validated for use in the following assays: IHC-P. |
| Antibody Target: | Microtubule-associated Protein 2 (MAP2) |
| Synonyms: | MAP2, microtubule-associated protein 2 |
| Host: | MAP2 antibody was produced in Mouse |
| Antigen Species: | MAP2 antibody was raised against Human |
| Clonality: | Monoclonal |
| Isotype: | IgG1,k |
| Antigen Type: | Purified protein |
| Immunogen: | MAP2 antibody was raised against mAP2 |
| Antibody Specificity: | Recognizes human 300kD cytoskeletal protein (MAP2A and MAP2B) primarily expressed in the somatodendritic domain of the neuron but is also found in the glia. Reactivity is not affected by phosphorylation state of MAP2. Abnormal expression of MAP2 may cause cytoskeletal abnormalities and impair signal transduction in dendrites. |
| Purification: | Purified |
| Presentation: | PBS, pH 7.4, 0.05% sodium azide. |
| Recommended Storage: | Long term: Add glycerol (40-50%) -20°C; Short term: +4°C |
| Antibody Usage Summary: | Immunohistochemistry: LS-B2362 was validated for use in immunohistochemistry on a panel of 21 formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) human tissues after heat induced antigen retrieval in pH 6.0 citrate buffer. After incubation with the primary antibody, slides were incubated with biotinylated secondary antibody LS-D2, followed by alkaline phosphatase-streptavidin and chromogen. The stained slides were evaluated by a pathologist to confirm staining specificity. The optimal working concentration for LS-B2362 was determined to be 5 ug/ml. |
| Antibody Uses: | Immunohistochemistry - Paraffin (IHC-P) (5 µg/ml), Immunohistochemistry - Frozen (IHC-Fr), Western blot (WB) (0.5 - 1 µg/ml), Immunoprecipitation (IP), ELISA (0.1 - 0.5 µg/ml) (Optimal dilution to be determined by the researcher) |
| Size: | 50 µg |
| Concentration: | 0.5 mg/ml |
