Description
pstrongAntibody Target :/strongMAP-1/p
pbHost: /bRabbit/p
pbAntibody Type: /bPolyclonal/p
pbIsotype: /bRabbit IgG/p
pbAntibody Form: /bAffinity Purified Antibody/p
pbImmunogen Sequence: /bSynthetic peptide surrounding a.a. 342 of mouse MAP-1 (/p
pbAccession#: /bQ9ERH6/p
pbGene ID: /b64113/p
pbAppearance: /bColorless liquid/p
pbConcentration: /b0.5 mg/ml/p
pbFormulation: /b100 micro;g (0.5 mg/ml) Protein A affinity purified rabbit polyclonal antibody in phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) containing 30% glycerol, 0.5% BSA, and 0.01% thimerosal./p
pbPurification: /bAffinity purified/p
pbSpecies Reactivity: /bhu/ms/p
pbApplication: /bWB/p
pbApplication amp; Usage: /bWestern blotting (1-4 micro;g/ml). However, the optimal concentrations should be determined individually. Jurkat cell lysate (Cat.# 2401-100) and mouse small intestine tissue lysate (Cat.# 2601-100) can be used as positive controls. The antibody recognizes 39 kDa MAP-1 from samples of human, mouse and rat origins. Reactivity to other species has not been determined. In human samples, an additional ~78 kDa dimer can be detected in Jurkat cell lysate. In mouse sample, an additional ~33 kDa cleavage fragment can also be detected in mouse small intestine tissue lysate./p
pbStorage Temp.: /b-20 deg;C/p
pbShipping : /bgel pack/p
pbShelf Life: /b12 months/p
pbHandling: /bThe antibody solution should be gently mixed before use./p
pbBrief Background Descriptions: /bHuman MAP-1 (Modulator of Apoptosis Protein) is a novel Bax-associating protein. MAP-1 mediates caspase-dependent apoptosis in mammalian cells when overexpressed. MAP-1 homodimerozes and associates with the proapoptotic Bax and the prosurvival Bcl-2 and Bcl-XL of the Bcl-2 family./p
