FORMULATION: Sterile filtered and lyophilized without additives

RECONSTITUTION: We recommend a quick spin followed by reconstitution in 5 mM Tris, pH 8.0 to a concentration of 1 mg/ml. This solution can then be diluted into other aqueous buffers or stored at -4oC for 1 week or -20oC for future use.

STORAGE CONDITIONS: The lyophilized sTNF-RI is best-stored desiccated below 0oC. Reconstituted sTNF-RI should be stored at working aliquots at -20oC.

Tumor Necrosis Factor receptor type I (TNF-RI) is also referred as p60. The p60 form of the receptor is primarily expressed on epithelial cells. Recombinant Human soluble TNF receptor Type I (sTNF-RI) is a 18.3 kDa protein containing 162 amino acid residues comprising the extra cellular domain of TNF Receptor Type I.

DESCRIPTION:

BIOLOGICAL ACTIVITY: The biological activity of sTNF-RI was determined by its inhibitory effect of the TNF-? mediated cytotoxicity in murine L-929 cells. The ED50 for the effect in the presence of 0.25 ng/ml of recombinant TNF-?, is 0.05 ug/ml.
