RECONSTITUTION: Centrifuge the vial prior to opening. Reconstitute in water to a concentration of 1 mg/ml. This solution can then be diluted into other aqueous buffers and stored at 4oC for 1 week or -20oC for future use.

STORAGE CONDITIONS: The lyophilized protein is best-stored desiccated below 0oC. Reconstituted gAcrp30 should be stored in working aliquots at -20oC.

Human gAcrp30 (amp-1) also known as Adipolean is a 16.6 kDa protein that corresponds to the C-terminal globular domain of adiponectin (amp-1). gAcrp30/Adipolean is expressed and secreted exclusively by adipose tissue. This protein possesses unique pharmacological properties for regulation of body weight and lipid metabolism. It is a key component in controlling energy homeostasis. Recently, gAcrp30/Adipolean has been shown to inhibit the proliferation of myelomonocytic progenitors. The Recombinant Human gAcrp30/Adipolean is a 16.6 kDa protein consisting of 145 amino acid residues.

DESCRIPTION:

BIOLOGICAL ACTIVITY: Determined by its ability to inhibit the proliferation of murine myeloid cell lines M1. The ED50 for this effect is < 1-3 ug/ml.
