Human Breast Cancer Cells MDA-MB-231

MDA-MB-231 comes from the pleural fluid of a 51-year-old Caucasian female patient with metastatic breast cancer. It forms poorly differentiated adenocarcinoma (grade III) in nude mice and ALS-treated BALB / c mice. The cells express the WNT7B oncogene. This cell line may serve as a transfection host.
