Product Description: Recombinant HIV-1IIIB nef, amino acids 3 to 190 of the HIV-1 nef region. Produced in E.coli as a fusion protein of HIV-1 nef (MW = 20kDa) with Beta-galactosidase (MW = 114kDa) at the N-terminus of HIV-1 nef. Molecular weight of the fusion protein is 134kDa.
Protein Concentration: [varies by lot] µg/ml determined by BCA protein assay method using BSA standard. Alternative methods for determining protein concentration may give different values.
Presentation: 10mM sodium carbonate, 10mM Na3EDTA, 14mM Beta-mercaptoethanol in 0.05% Tween 20, pH 7.5.
Purity: 95% pure as estimated by analysis of Coomassie blue stained SDS- PAGE.
Functional Activity: Immunoreactive in ELISA and Western blot using monoclonal or polyclonal antibodies to HIV-1 nef as well as HIV-1 positive human sera.
