Western Blot: In transfected HEK293 transiently expressing full-length Human NRXN1 (myc and DYKDDDDK tagged), bands of approx. 75 and 60kDa were observed. No bands were observed in mock-transfected HEK293 and the same band was observed using anti-DYKDDDDK tag antibody. Recommended concentration: 0.5-1µg/ml. Primary incubations were for 1 hour.Flow Cytometry: Flow cytometric analysis of Kelly cells. Recommended concentration: 10ug/ml.Peptide ELISA: antibody detection limit dilution 1:128000.

Description (Long Description) : 

Cell surface protein involved in cell-cell-interactions, exocytosis of secretory granules and regulation of signal transmission. Function is isoform-specific. Alpha-type isoforms have a long N-terminus with six laminin G-like domains and play an important role in synaptic signal transmission. Alpha-type isoforms play a role in the regulation of calcium channel activity and Ca2+-triggered neurotransmitter release at synapses and at neuromuscular junctions. They play an important role in Ca2+-triggered exocytosis of secretory granules in pituitary gland (Uniprot).
