Western Blot: Approx 55-60kDa band observed in nuclear lysates of cell line HEK293 (calculated MW of 55.3kDa according to NP_032255.2). Recommended concentration: 1-2µg/ml. Primary incubation 1 hour at room temperature.Immunofluorescence: Strong expression of the protein seen in the nuclei of U251 cells. Recommended concentration: 10µg/ml.

Flow Cytometry: Flow cytometric analysis of HeLa cells. Recommended concentration: 10ug/ml.

Description (Long Description) : 

Responsible for the deacetylation of lysine residues on the N-terminal part of the core histones (H2A, H2B, H3 and H4). Histone deacetylation gives a tag for epigenetic repression and plays an important role in transcriptional regulation, cell cycle progression and developmental events. Histone deacetylases act via the formation of large multiprotein complexes. Forms transcriptional repressor complexes by associating with MAD, SIN3, YY1 and N-COR.
