Fluoro Hydroxyl/Peroxynitrite

Hydroxyphenyl fluorescein (HPF) is a selective, cell permeable and sensitive probe for the detection of highly reactive oxygen species (hROS): hydroxyl radical (·OH), and peroxynitrite (ONOO^-). It has little reactivity towards other hROS such as: hypochlorite (^-OCl), singlet oxygen (¹O₂), superoxide (O₂^-·), hydrogen peroxide (H₂O₂), nitric oxide (NO·), and alkyl peroxide (RO₂·). The one step no-wash real-time assay is adaptable for HTS format. Application: Fluorescence (excitation at 499 nm, emission at 515 nm).
