Fluoro hROS - hROS Detection Kit

Aminophenyl fluorescein (APF) is a selective probe for detecting highly reactive oxygen species (hROS). It has little reactivity towards other ROS such as: singlet oxygen (¹O₂), superoxide (O₂^-·), hydrogen peroxide (H₂O₂), nitric oxide (NO·), and alkyl peroxide (RO₂·). APF is a quenched cell-permeable indicator which can be used to detect hydroxyl radical (·OH), peroxynitrite (ONOO^-), and hypochlorite (^-OCl) production in cells. The one-step, no-wash, homogenous non-destructive cell-based assay allows monitoring of additional parameters and multiple time points. It can also be used with cell lysates and homogenates and is adaptable for HTS format. Application: Fluorescence (excitation at 499 nm, emission at 515 nm).
