Fluoro AChE

Fluorescence assay for monitoring/detecting red blood cell acetylcholinesterase activity. This is a highly sensitive, non-radioactive, very rapid, extremely simple one-step no-wash assay, which uses the natural substrate, acetylcholine, to determine acetylcholinesterase (AChE) activity in red blood cells (RBC), saliva and tissue lysates. A series of coupled enzyme reactions quickly translates the presence of active AChE into a change in the fluorescence of a quenched detection reagent. The assay can monitor multiple time points to establish kinetics and is adaptable for a high throughput format.
