Fluorescent Monoamine Oxidase A&B Detection Kit

The Fluorescent Monoamine Oxidase A&B Detection Kit utilizes a non-fluorescent detection reagent 10-acetyl-3, 7-dihydroxyphenoxazine (ADHP). Monoamine oxidase-A/B (MAO-A/B)-mediated conversion of a substrate to its aldehyde generates H₂O₂, which subsequently oxidizes ADHP at 1:1 stoichiometry into a fluorescent product resorufin (excitation at 530-571 nm, emission at 590-600 nm). The latter reaction is catalyzed by peroxidase. This sensitive non-radioactive one-step no-wash assay has a capability of monitoring multiple time points to establish kinetics. Applications: Fluorescence via microwell plate reader; adaptable for HTS.
