h4Description/h4
pCadherins are calcium-dependent cell adhesion proteins. They preferentially interact with themselves in a homophilic manner in connecting cells. E-cadherin (CDH1) is involved in mechanisms regulating cell-cell adhesion, mobility and proliferation of epithelial cells. CDH1 has a potent invasive suppressor role. CDH1 binds to integrin alpha-E/beta-7. Defects in CDH1 are the cause of gastric, endometrial, breast, ovary and thyroid cancers. This antibody may cross-react with cadherin-2, 3 and 4./p
