pfont size=2 /font/p
pbFORMULATION: /b100 ug (0.2 mg/ml) purified rabbit polyclonal antibody in phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) containing 30% glycerol, 0.5% BSA, and 0.01% thimerosal./p
pbSPECIES REACTIVITY: /bhuman, mouse, rat/p
pbSTORAGE CONDITIONS: /bStore at -20oC. For long term storage, aliquot and freeze at -70oC. Avoid repeated freeze/defrost cycles./p
pbBACKGROUND: /bDystrophin is one of the actin-binding proteins that are involved in anchoring the cytoskeleton to the plasma membrane. Dystrophin expression is found in muscle brain tissues, where it is located to the inner surface of the plasma membrane. It is suggested that alternative splicing of the caboxy terminus allows dystrophin to interact with a variety of proteins. Loss of dystrophin-associated proteins in Duchenne afflicted muscle is due to the absence of dystrophin rather than to muscle degradation and lack of dystrophin results in the loss of linkage between the cytoskeleton and extracellular matrix./p
pbSPECIFICITY: /bThe antibody recognizes dystrophin from human, mouse, and rat origins./p
pbAPPLICATION: /bThe antibody can be used in Western blotting (1-4 ug/ml), immunoprecipitation (20 ug/ml), and immunohistochemistry (20 ug/ml). However, the optimal concentrations should be determined individually. USAGE: For Research Use Only. Not to be used in humans./p
