pbHOST:/b Rabbit/p
pbIMMUNOGEN:/b Synthetic peptide corresponding to residue surrounding amino acid 354 of human DRAK2./p
pbFORMULATION: /b100 ug (0.5 mg/ml) immunoaffinity purified rabbit anti-DRAK2 polyclonal antibody in phosphate buffered saline (PBS), pH 7.2, containing 30% glycerol, 0.5% BSA, 0.01% thimerosal./p
pbSPECIES REACTIVITY: /bhuman/p
pbSTORAGE CONDITIONS: /bStore at -20oC or -70oC. For optimal storage, aliquot and freeze at -20oC to -70oC. Avoid repeated freeze/defrost cycles./p
pbBACKGROUND: /bApoptosis is mediated by death domain containing adapter molecules and a caspase family of proteases. Certain serine/threonine protein kinases, such as ASK-1 and RIP, are mediators of apoptosis. Two novel serine/threonine kinases that induce apoptosis were recently identified and designated DRAK1 and DRAK2 for DAP kinase-related apoptosis-inducing protein kinases. DRAKs contain an N-terminal kinase domain and a C-terminal regulation domain. Overexpression of DRAK2 induces apoptosis. DRAKs have high sequence homology to DAP and Zip kinases, and they represent a novel family of serine/threonine kinases, which mediates apoptosis through their catalytic activities. DRAK2 is located in nucleus and the messager RNA was ubiquitously expressed in human tissues./p
pbAPPLICATION AND USAGE: /bThe antibody can be used for Western blot analysis (0.5-4 ug/ml) and immunofluorescence. However, the optimal conditions should be determined individually./p
pbSPECIFICITY: /bThe antibody detects an approximately 45 kDa human DRAK2 by Western blot analysis. A 70 kDa band is also detected and is peptide blockable. Jurkat cell lysate can be used as a positive control. FOR RESEARCH USE ONLY! Not to be used in human subjects./p
