Desmosine-Albumin Conjugate

For use as antigen in the preparation of antibody against desmosine.

.Prepared by the method of Starcher (8) in which desmosine is covalently bound to albumin with the coupling reagent 1-ethyl-3-(3-dimethylamino propyl) carbodiimide HCL.

Purity is determined by amino acid analysis. 

Each mole of albumin is coupled with approximately 8 mole of desmosine.
