pbBACKGROUND: /bDAP kinase (DAPK) is a pro-apoptotic calcium-regulated serine/threnine kinase containing death domain. A novel DAP kinase-related protein was recently identified and designated DAPK2 and DRP-1. DAPK has high sequence homology to ZIP kinase and DRAK1/2, and represents a novel family of serine/threnine kinases, which mediates apoptosis through their catalytic activities. Ectopicly expressed DAPK2 induces apoptosis in various types of cells./p
pbAPPLICATION AND USAGE: /bThe antibody can be used in Western blotting (0.5-4 ug/ml). However, the optimal conditions should be determined individually. A431 cell lysate can be used as a positive control./p
pbSPECIFICITY: /bThe antibody detects a ~42 kDa DAPK2 of human, mouse, and rat origins. It has no cross-reactivity to DAPK1./p
