pbHOST:/b Rabbit/p
pbIMMUNOGEN:/b Synthetic peptide corresponding to residue surrounding amino acid 207 of mouse CIDE-B./p
pbSPECIES REACTIVITY: /bmouse/p
pbFORMULATION: /b100 ug (0.5 mg/ml) affinity purified rabbit anti-CIDE-B polyclonal antibody in phosphate buffered saline (PBS), pH 7.2, containing 30% glycerol, 0.5% BSA, 0.01% thimerosal./p
pbSTORAGE CONDITIONS: /bStore at -20oC. For long-term storage, aliquot and freeze at -70oC. Avoid repeated freeze/defrost cycles./p
pbBACKGROUND: /bApoptosis is related to many diseases and induced by a family of cell death receptors and their ligands. Cell death signals are transduced by death domain containing adapter molecules and members of the caspase family of proteases. These death signals finally cause the degradation of chromosomal DNA by activated DNase. DFF45/ICARD has been identified as inhibitor of caspase activated DNase DFF40/CAD. DFF45 related proteins CIDE-A and CIDE-B (for cell death-inducing DFF-like effector A and B) were recently identified. CIDE contains a new type of domain termed CIDE-N, which has high homology with the regulatory domains of DFF45/ICAD and DFF40/CAD. Expression of CIDE-B induces apoptosis, which is inhibited by DFF45. CIDE-B is a DFF45-inhibitable effector that promotes cell death and DNA fragmentation. CIDE-B is mainly expressed in liver and in lower levels in spleen, kidney, peripheral blood lymphocytes, and bone marrow./p
pbAPPLICATION AND USAGE: /bThe antibody can be used for Western blot analysis (0.5-4 ug/ml). However, the optimal conditions should be determined individually./p
pbSPECIFICITY: /bDetects an 25 kDa mouse CIDE-B by Western blotting. Murine liver tissue lysate can be used as a positive control. The antibody has no cross activity to CIDE-A. FOR RESEARCH USE ONLY! Not to be used in human subjects./p
