pThis antibody recognizes the CD41 antigen within the CD41/CD61 heterodimer (also called integrin IIbIIIa), which is expressed on platelets and megakaryocytes. The CD41/CD61 cell surface protein is the receptor for fibrinogen, fibronectin and von Willebrand factor and mediates platelet adhesion and aggregation. The antibody can be used for detecting CD41 in flow cytometry and immunoprecipitation./p
