pCaspases are a family of cysteine proteases that play key roles in apoptosis. The precursor form of all caspaes is composed of a prodomain, and large and small catalytic subunits. The active forms of caspases are generated by several stimuli including ligand-receptor interactions, growth factor deprivation and inhibitors of cellular functions. All known caspases require cleavage adjacent to aspartates to liberate one large and one small subunits, which associate into ???? tetramers to form the active enzyme. Caspase-14 is a newly identified member of caspase family. It has conserved active site pentapeptide, QACRG. However, no proteolytic or biological activities have been identified so far. Its high expression in embryonic tissues and limited expression in adult tissues suggests that it may have a role in ontogenesis./p
pbDESCRIPTION:/b/p
pbAPPLICATION AND USAGE:/b The monoclonal antibody can be used in Western blot analysis (0.5-4 ug/ml). However, the optimal conditions should be determined individually. Mouse spleen tissue lysate can be used as a positive control. RESEARCH USE:/p
pbFOR RESEARCH USE ONLY! NOT TO BE USED IN HUMANS./b/p
pbWARRANTY:/b Warranty information can be found in www.biovision.com./p
