| Antibody Target: | C4b-binding Protein (C4BP) |
| Host: | Mouse |
| Antigen Species: | Human |
| Clonality: | Monoclonal |
| Isotype: | IgG2b |
| Antibody Clone Name: | 10-07 |
| Antigen Type: | Native protein |
| Immunogen: | Native human C4 binding protein |
| Antibody Specificity: | Recognizes complement component 4 binding protein (C4bp). There are three variants of C4bp, composed of alpha and beta chains. The predominant form is a 570 kD complex of 7 alpha chains and 1 beta chain. The other complexes formed are a 530 kD homoheptamer of alpha chains or a 500 kD complex of 6 alpha chains and 1 beta chain. C4bp regulates the activation of the classical complement pathway. It is a cofactor to the C3b/C4b inactivator, crucial to the proteolytic cleavage of C4b and important in cleavage of C3b. C4bp also regulates the C4bC2a complex (C3 convertase), accelerating its degradation by dissociating the complement fragment C2a. Both the C4bp alpha and beta chains interact with anticoagulant protein S and C4bp alpha binds protein S. C4bp is expressed in the blood serum. |

| Antibody Usage Summary: | Immunohistochemistry: LS-B2251 was validated for use in immunohistochemistry on a panel of 21 formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) human tissues after heat induced antigen retrieval in pH 6.0 citrate buffer. After incubation with the primary antibody, slides were incubated with biotinylated secondary antibody LS-D2, followed by alkaline phosphatase-streptavidin and chromogen. The stained slides were evaluated by a pathologist to confirm staining specificity. The optimal working concentration for LS-B2251 was determined to be 5 ug/ml. |
| Antibody Uses: | Immunohistochemistry - Paraffin (IHC-P) (5 µg/ml), ELISA (Optimal dilution to be determined by the researcher) |
| Size: | 50 µg |
| Concentration: | 1 mg/ml |
