Antibody Specificity:	Recognizes Complement component C3 (human). Epitope specificity differs from that of clones 6F66 and 6F63 but slightly overlaps as determined by inhibition ELISA. Reacts strongly with C3. Strong reaction is seen in ELISA with C3 directly coated onto the microtiter well, and also when tested in sandwich ELISA in combination with a polyclonal antibody against C3. In Western blotting after SDS-PAGE, this antibody reacts with C3 in reduced as well as non-reduced forms.

Antibody Usage Summary:	Immunohistochemistry: LS-B2545 was validated for use in immunohistochemistry on a panel of 21 formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) human tissues after heat induced antigen retrieval in pH 6.0 citrate buffer. After incubation with the primary antibody, slides were incubated with biotinylated secondary antibody LS-D2, followed by alkaline phosphatase-streptavidin and chromogen. The stained slides were evaluated by a pathologist to confirm staining specificity. The optimal working concentration for LS-B2545 was determined to be 10 ug/ml.
