PRODUCT: Bovine calf Thymus Acetone Powder STORAGE : - 10°C or below PROCEDURE: Thymus glands are collected from Bovine calfs (8-12 weeks of age, either sex and fasted at the time of slaughter) and frozen on dry ice within 30 minutes of slaughter. Thymus powder is prepared using an acetone dehydration method developed in our laboratory. ASSAYS: The protein content is measured by the Biuret Protein assay method to be 21% of the dry weight. Ouchterlony: Positive reaction with anti-SSB, anti-RNP, anti-Scl-70, and anti-SM.
