IMMUNOGEN: Recombinant mouse Bag-1
FORMULATION: 100 mg (0.2 mg/ml) antigen affinity purified goat anti-Bag-1 polyclonal antibody in phosphate buffered saline (PBS), pH 7.2, containing 50% glycerol, 1% BSA, 0.02% sodium azide.
SPECIES REACTIVITY: mouse
STORAGE CONDITIONS: Store at -20oC. For long-term storage, aliquot and freeze at -70oC. Avoid repeated freeze/defrost cycles.
DESCRIPTION: Bag-1 (Bcl-2 binding athanogene-1) binds Bcl-2 enhancing its anti-apoptotic activity. Bag-1 interacts with Raf-1 kinase in vitro and exists as two isoforms, Bag-1S and Bag-1L. Bag-1 is expressed in many tissues with the highest levels found in testis.
SPECIFICITY: The immunoaffinity purified goat polyclonal antibody reacts with the 28 kDa mouse Bag-1 and does not react with human Bag-1.
APPLICATION AND USAGE: The antibody can be used for Western blot analysis (0.5-2 mg/ml) and immunoprecipitation (5-15 mg/ml). However, the optimal conditions should be determined individually.
