Description
| Antibody Catalog ID: | LS-B2152 |
|---|---|
| Antibody Validation: | This antibody replaces catalog number LS-C49093. It has been validated for use in the following assays: IHC-P. |
| Antibody Target: | Aquaporin 2 (Collecting Duct) (AQP2) |
| Synonyms: | AQP2, Aqp2, Aquaporin 2 |
| Family: | Transporter |
| Subfamily: | Aquaporin |
| Host: | AQP2 antibody was produced in Rabbit |
| Antigen Species: | AQP2 antibody was raised against Rat |
| Clonality: | Polyclonal |
| Antigen Type: | Synthetic peptide |
| Immunogen: | AQP2 antibody was raised against phosphopeptide corresponding to amino acid residues surrounding the phospho-Ser261 of rat aquaporin 2 |
| Antibody Specificity: | Specific for ~29k AQP2 protein phosphorylated at Ser261. Also recognizes the glycosylated form of AQP2 at ~37k. Immunolabeling of the AQP2 band is blocked by preadsorption with the phospho-peptide used as antigen but not by the corresponding dephosphopeptide. |
| Antigen Modification: | pSer261 |
| Purification: | Immunoaffinity Chromatography |
| Presentation: | 0.099 ml in 10 mM HEPES, pH 7.5, 150 mM sodium chloride, 0.1 mg per ml BSA, 50% glycerol. |
| Recommended Storage: | +4°C or -20°C, Avoid repeated freezing and thawing. |
| Antibody Usage Summary: | Immunohistochemistry: LS-B2152 was validated for use in immunohistochemistry on a panel of 21 formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) human tissues after heat induced antigen retrieval in pH 6.0 citrate buffer. After incubation with the primary antibody, slides were incubated with biotinylated secondary antibody LS-D1, followed by alkaline phosphatase-streptavidin and chromogen. The stained slides were evaluated by a pathologist to confirm staining specificity. The optimal working concentration for LS-B2152 was determined to be 1:100. |
| Antibody Uses: | Immunohistochemistry - Paraffin (IHC-P) (1:100), Western blot (WB) (1:1000) (Optimal dilution to be determined by the researcher) |
| Size: | 50 µl |
